I have a 6 y/o animal LOVER so this was a perfect toy for her. She squealed right when she saw it and couldn’t wait to get it open. The cat is very responsive so my daughter doesn’t have to do much to get a movement or meow from her. She is so soft and just the right size. She couldn’t wait to put her new “pet” in her stroller and take her to meet her friends in the neighborhood. Of course my daughter changed her cats name. Also, as usual, her big brothers got in the mix and enjoy playing with the new family cat. The sound is good too. Not too loud. I am allergic to real cats so this is definately the next best thing!

I want to emphasize that this is a great Toy. This is not a high dollar piece of equipment but for what it’s worth it works great. I have used it to entertain my grandchildren when they come over for holidays. They are always fighting for space to watch tv or play games so this really helps. I just plug in the dvd player with whatever movie they want to watch and let them enjoy themselves. They really like the novelty of the item. They feel like they are at the movies or a drive in if we do it outside. I am actually very excited to use this at Halloween time to project some scary images/movie on my house for the trick or treaters. This item is definitely works best in complete darkness and could have a higher resolution, but again for the price and the fact that it is a toy, this is an excellant product.

These are marketed toward younger children, but my 9 yr. old loves them. She’s quite impressed now playing Mary Had a Little Lamb by memory You can keep all the flutes together in the holder or take them apart if you have more than one child.
I will warn that after a while you get sick of hearing the kids playing the same songs over and over and over again, but they’re happy so just wear some earplugs.

I’m a guitar player, and I got this after seeing the media coverage on this from CES. There is so much to this product, from mixing loops that are in the device, to sampling from the iPod, downloading new loops from the web, modifying the loops in realtime with the joystick using different built-in effects, to recording the entire performance of a song for playback like a sequencer (reminds me of playing back automation on a recording console).
The funny thing is just how easy it is to use, given all that power under the hood. My 5 and 8 year olds “got it” right away, and have had a blast with it. What I didn’t realize initially is that you can listen to your iPod with it, and use the joystick effects to modify the songs in realtime. That by itself has had my kids enthralled for the past two evenings.
