We bought extra knights, horses skeletons and a ghost(PAPO brand)for this.
So much fun and folds up when finished playing.

By K. Wheeler “JJ” : I saw this castle at a local store, for $20 higher than listed on Amazon. It looked so nice and sturdy I ordered the set for my sons 4th birthday. It came today, and I was able to open it up and get a good look at it. The castle , the dolls and the furniture are all very well built. I think this will stand up for a lot of play, (and my kids are rough). My 7 year old daughter played with it for a bit and she thought it was great. I had at first looked into getting the larger version by Melissa and Doug, but am glad I chose the smaller one. The price is much cheaper, ([...]), and it already comes with a set of people, and furniture. I like that my son will be able to carry this around with him, (which he couldn’t do with the larger castle). And I like that it won’t take up a ton of space. Last year we got my son the wooden toy garage by Alex toys, and it was not made nearly as well as this castle is. Oh, and you dont have to put anything together! I have seen some of the other brand larger castles up close that have the wooden slot construction, and they just don’t look as stable to me. Anyway,this is a great bargain, and I highly recommend it.

By Me and My House : As always, Melissa & Doug toys are a great hit. Our little boys asked for this for Christmas (their sister has the house). Melissa & Doug toys are loved here because they are made of wood and hold up better than cheap plastic toys. I like the natural materials, as well as the durability. The little people and horses are really cute. Our children love playing with this. (and all their Melissa & Doug wooden toys.) We have had to glue a couple parts back together, but our boys are very hard on things. I’m just glad these wood pieces *can* be glued and this toy lasts, unlike most of the other plastic junk they got from others that is already in the trash.

By Meredith : I purchased this cute little dollhouse for my speech therapy toy bag. I work with children three with special needs and under and this is a great, simple little house. It has a bendy boy and a girl along with a kitchen, bed, living room and bath. Plenty of activities for a first dollhouse (just as much furniture as the regular sized “Fold and Go” house from M&D). This house reminds me of the simple and fun Little People sets from when I was a child (before all the bells and whistles were added). I haven’t showed this house to my four year old, since I’m concerned she’ll beg for me to take it home! Only caveat, for my needs I wish it wasn’t pink, but I know that most little girls would be thrilled with the color. Thanks M&D for another great product.

Everything she wanted in one product!! She loves it, carries it around and plays for hours with it. She is not a quiet child and is rough on her things but this really is great for her. Gives her hours of play at a time without becoming bored. Recommend highly.

By Suzanne Marie : This was an unexpectedly great purchase, with wonderful detail, smooth-working parts and ample room for play and lodging of the horses and other animals! I reviewed and shopped online scrupulously for several hours, until I selected this Fold-and-Go Mini Barn (as well as the Fold-and-Go Mini Stable). I bought this and the mini stable to go with the Schleich horses and other like-sized Schleich animals we’ve gifted to a 6 year old granddaughter. The barn (as well as the stable) was a hit! I also added a section of Melissa and Doug wooden articulating fence (about 3 feet long)to go with it; though it’s supposed to be sized for the larger horses, it was also a real pleaser, working well for these animals and this barn and the stable! (She decided to paint all the wooden articulating fencing barn red, and that actually turned out very nicely; just dilute the paint — we used artists’ acrylic — so fencing still moves!)

By A. Niendorf : This was the first Melissa and Doug toy I bought for my 3 year old. I was very pleased that she mastered it by herself after us only working on it with her 1 time. The pieces are large and durable. They go together easily and the colors are bright. Each piece is very recognizable as to where it goes, no ambiguous pieces. The puzzle is not square so it did not give me the opportunity to teach her about starting with the edge pieces, but she just starts with the animal piece she finds first and builds. This puzzle just reminded me once again that I underestimate her abilities at such a young age!
