Detailed, Movie-Accurate Design
The most iconic vessel in the Star Wars universe, the smuggler Han Solo won the Millennium Falcon from fellow rogue Lando Calrissian in a game of sabacc. Every detail of this famous, modified Corellian Engineering Corporation YT-1300 freighter is packed into this model, which is constructed to scale. LEGO mini-figures of Han Solo, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia Organa are included, so you can really replay your favorite scenes. Start off by testing your skills as a pilot and see if you can navigate the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, the way Han Solo claims to. Later, you’ll want to stage an attack on the dangerous Death Star.

Huge, spectacular, and movie-accurate, the Millennium Falcon is the ultimate center piece of any Star Wars or Lego collection. When completed, this model is over 33-inches long, 22-inches wide, and eight-inches tall. Rotating top- and bottom-mounted quad-laser turrets, a radar dish that rotates and can be elevated, and a boarding ramp that can be extended are just some of the cool features included in this model. You can seat a crew of four mini-figures at the controls in the removable cockpit. And landing gear provides a stable base for model to stand on.

Building Your Own Millennium Falcon
With 5,196 Lego pieces, the Millennium Falcon took more than 50 hours to construct. Split between two adult builders and several days, these hours provided a fun time to chat and reminisce about favorite Star Wars moments. We imagine that having the original trilogy playing in the background might have motivated us to construct this starship even faster.

A huge percentage of the pieces come in shades of gray, and approaching construction requires a bit of organization and discipline. This means that building the Millennium Falcon is not a project for the faint of heart, but detailed, step-by-step instructions help ensure that construction is a relatively straightforward process, despite the complexity of the finished model. Once it’s built, the Millennium Falcon is sure to inspire awe all around. Collector’s will appreciate the display card that allows them to show off ship specs with the model.

Get in on the action of the Clone Wars with the Republic Attack Gunship set 7676 from the Lego Star Wars Collection. With plenty of cannons, spy droids, and flick missiles to jumpstart a major battle, this building set is primed to satisfy both serious Lego builders and Star Wars collectors. With lots of little parts and detailed instructions, this set is recommended for ages 9 to 14. Like all Lego sets, it also holds the potential to keep creative adults entertained for hours.

Confront the Separatist Crisis
Drawing from the wealth of Star Wars lore, the Clone Wars are part of a back-story of intragalactic unrest that set the stage for the original trilogy. They are portrayed in a new animated movie, TV series, and video game, which help fill in gaps that appear between the other movies. With this set, you can be part of the action. Take up the battle against the Separatists using the Republic Attack Gunship, a heavily armed and armored Clone Wars troop carrier that’s ready to invade even the most hostile terrain.

Included Lego figures represent the well-known characters Obi-Wan Kenobi, Plo Koon, Asajj Ventress, and Commander Cody. Of course, there’s Clone Trooper mini-figures as well. There’s a cool speeder bike that deploys from the back, and multiple decals to create different gunships for your army. Arm your favorite figure with a lightsaber in Jedi blue-green or Sith red, and let the intragalactic battles begin. There’s even a healing chamber that helps your characters recharge after a tough battle.

Preparing Your Gunship for Battle
With 1,034 pieces in 18 bags and two instruction booklets, the Republic Attack Gunship took our eight-year-old tester just under eight hours to build. He broke the construction up into three shorter sessions to make it more enjoyable and had only one slight difficulty. While Lego instructions are known for being colorful and accurate, there were a handful of pieces in our booklet that appeared clear when they were in fact yellow. This didn’t do anything to diminish our appreciation for this model. Our tester struggled to find anything negative to say, and he gave this ship a fun factor score of one million, based on a scale of one to 10!

Cockpits in unexpected locations on the wings, unique sliding doors, the zoomer buggy, and an emergency capsule for sick and injured characters ranked high on the list of cool features. That’s not all though. There’s also a front side compartment that opens so you can remove the command station, eight positionable flick-fire missiles on top, two rotating missiles in front, and a top compartment which opens to provide access to the spy droids.

When asked if there was a downside to this gunship, our tester could only reply, “It’s the best ever! I just like the whole set.” Soon after completing construction, he had a big battle with all the ships in his collection and commented on how this set includes updated pieces that he’s never seen before.

Even though there’s plenty of features on just the Republic Attack Gunship to hold a child’s interest for a long time, we can imagine how much fun the set would be with a whole group of friends and siblings plus all their Star Wars ships. We also appreciate the way that Lego systems never limit imaginative play. All the cool hardware that makes up the Republic Attack Gunship can be used to build any structure or vehicle your child dreams up.

My son must have ~25 lego star wars kits and this is the best one ever! We enjoyed putting it together, together and he’s been playing with it every day for a few weeks now without any parts being cannabalized for imagination based projects. This is better even than the Lego Star Wars Slave 1 kit which was the prior favorite at our house.

The Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser comes complete with five mini figures: Chancellor Palpatine, two of his elite Senate bodyguards, one Clone Trooper pilot, and one Clone Trooper gunner.

Building the Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser
With 1,170 pieces and two colorful instruction booklets, the Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser took our two adult testers approximately three-and-a-half hours to construct. The majority of the pieces come in shades of gray, so approaching construction requires a bit or organization and discipline. But once building is started, detailed step-by-step illustrations make assembly straightforward.

Overall, this set scores an excellent rating for its clever design elements. Just when you think you’ve discovered all the hidden weapons and command posts, you stumble across another. Our favorite features are the Palpatine mini figure complete with cloth cape and wrinkled brow the sliding gunner, the hidden Clone Trooper cockpit, the escape pod, the bomb dropper, and the Chancellor’s enormous command center.

Finally, most of all, our testers enjoyed the way the narrative of this set allowed them to reenact the ship-to-ship combat seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. They also appreciated that the storyline is simple enough to make the set entertaining, whether or not your child has seen the film.
